The college union (2025-2026) of AKG-CIHS enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June, 2025, with the theme “beat the plastic pollution” through a series of events aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.The day began with a symbolic and impactful tree plantation ceremony at 9:30 AM. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. P. Purushothaman , President of the Kannur Co-operative Hospital Society, Dr. Kamaraj B Principal AKGCIHS, T Jayarajan ,AO,AKG Group of Institutions, HODs of various departments; and union members. Together, they collaberately planted saplings on the college campus.Following the outdoor activities, the college community assembled in the auditorium for the official World Environment Day Program.In a gesture of gratitude and recognition, the college union presented a token of love to the college's cleaning staff and also distributed a prize for the class that has maintained the highest standards of cleanliness and organize.
